CIL Secures Your Data

At caribbeaninsurers.com the privacy and security of customer data is as important to us as it is to you. Physical safeguards, procedural controls and data access controls protect your data from unauthorized access. We continually monitor our systems to prevent unauthorized attempts at intrusion.

Our Security

At www.caribbeaninsurers.com, we use strong 256-bit encryption (Transport Layer Security or TLS v1.3) for transmitting private information via the Internet. TLS uses a private key to encrypt data that is transferred over the TLS connection. This protocol is a standard used by many websites when you submit confidential information, such as credit card numbers and other personal data. TLS creates a secure connection between your browser and our server. Addresses of web pages using a TLS connection start with https: instead of http: and most browsers also display an icon of a closed padlock () when you visit a page using TLS.

The "Online Services" portion of our website uses TLS encrption so your policy data being transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted. In addition, the Policyholder Service Center* portion of our website will only be available to policyholders via secure authentication. It provides a private and secure environment to access policy and account information. To access features of our website such as quotes, policy, and billing information, you will need to use a security-enabled web or mobile browser, with support for modern versions of TLS. You will also need an email address and a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader®.

We treat your payment card information, including the Primary Account Number (PAN), as highly sensitive data. In compliance with PCI DSS standards, we never store full card numbers unencrypted and only display truncated versions (e.g., last four digits). Your card details are used solely to process authorized transactions and are safeguarded with industry-standard security measures.

Website Security and Data Protection

We take the protection of your personal information seriously. Our website, www.caribbeaninsurers.com, is secured with a DigiCert SSL Certificate, ensuring that all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted.

  • Encryption: Sensitive information is protected by industry‑standard TLS/SSL encryption.
  • Validation: Our organization, Caribbean Insurers Ltd., has been independently verified by DigiCert, including confirmation of our location, registration, and domain ownership.
  • Trust Assurance: DigiCert provides a warranty level of up to $1.25 million USD, reflecting the strength of our commitment to secure online transactions.
  • Verified Customer: We have maintained verified customer status for over four years, demonstrating ongoing compliance with best practices in digital security.

When you see the DigiCert site seal on our website, you can be confident that you are interacting with a secure, validated environment designed to safeguard your sensitive data.

Trusted Site Verification

When you click on the DigiCert site seal displayed on our website, a secure popup window will appear directly from DigiCert. This window provides independent assurance that our TLS/SSL certificate is valid, our organization has been verified, and that your connection to www.caribbeaninsurers.com is encrypted. DigiCert’s validation confirms our identity and demonstrates that sensitive information you share with us is protected by industry‑leading security standards.
